Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 – Dualshock 4 Button mod

Are you playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on PC with a Dualshock 4 but always messing up controls since the game only shows xbox button prompts? Me too!

Follow the below instructions to replace some game image assets to change this:

Instructions

  1. Download and extract quickbms from https://aluigi.altervista.org/quickbms.htm
  2. Download and extract image assets & script from HERE
  3. Run reimport_4gb_files.bat from quickbms
    1. Select castlevania.bms from castlevania-2-dualshock-mod folder
    2. Select Data00.packed from Castlevania – Lords of Shadow 2 game root folder
    3. Select edited folder from castlevania-2-dualshock-mod folder
  4. The script will run and replace 3 image assests. Happy gaming.

Restored from backup

Found some malicious files in the server’s file system. Mostly phishing files that I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t have to ftp some files.

So… Deleted everything and reloaded an old backup. Lost a few posts but that’s okay. Deleted all unused/ unnecessary plugins. Converted one to shortcode in the child theme and updated everything. As safe as it gets.

Anyway, pretty sure, the files weren’t uploaded via a compromised wordpress/plugin but a server vulnerability. The joys of shared hosting, eh?

After letting this domain stay unused for over a year, finally working on it.

This new WordPress default theme, Twenty Thirteen, is really good. Bold colors and new features. BTW, if you are using it, don’t forget to install the Jetpack plugin and ALWAYS use child-themes for modifications. You might have to search and learn a few new things but trust me, makes life much easier in the long run.

A WordPress project for a big client. The requirements were simple but having a team, on their end, drafting out the requirements and regularly refining them meant there were a lot of tiny customizations and requests along the way. All in all a job well done. Enjoyed working with them.

A long project which was built up in stages. The brain-child of a young entrepreneur, a video viewing site where the user is awarded points for watching videos. These points can then be exchanged for discount coupons for brands and stores.

This project was a lot of fun and a great learning experience for me. Everything was custom built for this project. The UI, admin section, the vendor logins, account creation & verification, the fluid ajax redemption process, the custom built youtube player skin, the sms gateway integration etc.
